The lifestyle and culture of Chinese population still arises lot of curiosity among the travelers. China is a melting pot of different cultures and traditions. People belonging to different races and ethnic backgrounds reside in China. The Chinese population leads its life based on family values. Family is the most important thing around which the society revolves.

The Chinese population is peace loving and being in harmony with the nature happens to an important part of their culture and lifestyle. Chinese culture is manifested through their art, medicine, food, festivals, martial arts, operas and architecture. The lifestyle of the Chinese population is distinctly different from the rest of the world. Though the modern youth is trying to follow the western philosophy of life, they are still rooted deeply to their own culture and tradition.

The Chinese population believes in healthy eating and maintaining good health. Qigong is a type of exercise which is extremely popular in the country. This helps in staying fit and cultivating the spiritual side of man. Martial arts are also popular here that helps in creating strong body and mind. Learning and practicing this art is a part of their lifestyle. People in China eat with the help of chopsticks and they do not prefer very spicy food. In addition to these, the Chinese population is heavily into painting and calligraphy. They are also expert in playing chess and also play a musical instrument known as Qin.

The people in China basically lead a simple lifestyle. Their lifestyle is based on Confucius philosophy propagating hard work, belief in family and practice self-control. Religion is of utmost importance. Festivals are an integral part of their life as well culture. Both modern and traditional festivals are celebrated with gusto. The Spring Festival is one of the most important festivals in the country. Other important ones include Ghost festival, lantern festival, Dragon Boat festival.
